Today I'm wearing... It's a colourful world out there

Told you a couple of times about my awesome jacket, but other than showing it, I haven't really been very nice to it, showing it in a post like I should have.

I’m about to change that.

Ya os he hablado un par de veces sobre mi fabulosa chaqueta, pero lo cierto es que en ninguna de esas ocasiones le he hecho justicia con un post como se merece.

Eso está a punto de cambiar.

I got the fabric as a Christmas present, after absolutely falling in love with it in Cadena. My Mum had gone there, got herself from fabrics that y liked, and took me there to search for more. When I found this colourful piece, she kind of freaked out. Even though she liked it, she couldn’t quite see it as I did.

La tela fue un regalo de navidad después de haberme enamorado profundamente de ella en Cadena. Mi madre había ido unos días antes y encontrado algunas fantásticas telas que me encantaron, así que fuimos en busca de más. Cuando aparecí abrazada al retal, mi madre no se mostró demasiado entusiasta. No acababa de concebir la prenda que podría resultar de aquella tela como yo.

When we took it to the seamstress and she told me she was going to make me a “New Look jacket” I was so excited I couldn’t wait to see it finished… I love it because of the colours, the structure, and just about everything.

Cuando llevamos la tela a la modista y me dijo que me haría una chaqueta tipo New Look, no me imaginé que quedaría tan genial. Los colores, la forma… me encantan.

To compliment the jacket, I went for a white t-.shirt and a grey skirt, to make the color shine even more. The necklace, which I've told you about before in this post, was to get a little drama when the jacket came off.

Para complementar la chaqueta, elegí una camiseta blanca y una falda gris para que se lucieran aún más los colores. Para darle algo de drama al conjunto cuando me quitara la chaqueta, escogí el collar que ya os enseñé en este otro post.
