5 senses monday XXVI

Honestly, I really don’t have an excuse for my lack of publishing these past 2 weeks (both here and on twitter) but the truth is, I’ve had tons to work and a couple of trips that had made it a bit difficult. Anyway I have to admit in my defense that I’ve also tried not to leave this 5 senses appointment no matter what, so… let’s go. SEEING The sea at Marbella… the flowers at our home there… it was really wonderful to be able to go, if only for a weekend, to breathe some peaceful air and get a tiny mouthful of force to survive the last week at work before my 3 week vacation. Deadline: 5 days from now, and counting! Myself turn the last page of the last True Blood book so far. Yes… I’m counting the short stories book too, in case you were wondering, which makes 10 books in barely a month an a half. I was truly engaged by the stories… and, well, Eric too… 3 of the many Decenarios I intend to buy on the next few days. They really look chic and fabulous all together! so summer! LIST

Today I'm wearing... Skull stravaganza

Bought this awesome skull pendant yesterday at Gijón while by best friend and her mum were in a shopping spree in the store some meters away. On our way there, I had just spotted this cute little shop, very brit and hip (King's Road its called, SO appropiate) and I just couldn't help myself. I waved goodbye for a whyle to my friend, and came in. It suddenly paid off, don't you think? I don't know if you can really appreciate it, but it has 2 sets of colour. It really made a blast today at work, everybody kept telling me how original it was... I couldn't agree more. So you see... since I wanted the pendant to be the star of the outfit, I chose simple clothes to go with, black skirt and white t-shirt... and that's that. I started the day with some Stuart Weizman silver shoes, but those went off the minute I got my hands in a wonderful pair of espadrilles that were so confy, I had to inmediatly wear them. And so I did... T-shirt: Zara

Normally this would have been a 5 senses Monday, but since by the time I usually write it I was on a train coming back from Gijón, it was slightly difficult to achieve core. Anyway, here we go! SEEING Those wonderful country and seaside spots in Asturias… so green the country, so abrupt the sea shore. So very different from the south or centre of Spain… you are travelling by train and one moment you’re in the steppe, and the next one, coming from a tunnel, it just looks like you’re in a totally different planet all green and vegetation dense. Amazing. Those little and colourful beach tents in Asturias. Picture them black and white and suddenly you're in the 1950's. A wonderful top hat lamp. So original and awesome, I'm thinking of making one for me! LISTENING To the sea. Is there anything better or more relaxing in the world? I bet you not. I guess this is going to be appearing on 5 senses Mondays for a while now. Beach time approaching! (I’m counting the

... what I want to own ! OMG... I came across this totally awesome outfits, looks, whatever you call them both in Trendencias and Fashionisima and just couldn't help but drool...  This whole outfit is pretty awesome, perfect for a working girl like me. The shorts, simple and elegant in a totaly combinable colour, plus the men-look-alike shirt are just plain brilliant. And the cape? well... the cape is just AWESOME, wonderful... I want it, and I want it NOW. I'm just so in love with capes... never had the chance to buy one. My guess is that this is going to be the Autumn (finally) that I get the chance to buy one. Yipee!! I have to say, though a wee bit aggresive for me, I love this two looks. The leather shorts are so cool... those I could definitely see myself in. And the skirt? though I love it in the model, I don't know how it'll look on me so... I simply LOVE this camel coat. So simple!! it's perfect. I can see myself wearing it both with a LBD and jean

... Dior Haute Couture Because, with some little exceptions, it was the only Haute Couture show that looked like Haute Cauture... if that makes any sense. This year, I don't know if it was because of the crisis, the mood, the weather or what, most designers just didn't make it. I found that, in general, there wasn't any drama, very little colour... very little show, which is what I think Haute Couture is all about. But Dior... Dior... Galliano, that crazy bitch, imagined a garden of beautiful flowers... full of colour, of volume, of textures. It was simply delightful to see... I like the contrasts in this picture: the deep purple, the intense blue, with the striking orange... the coats just looks cozy. This look is just so simple and too much all in one. I love the skirt, love how it sways... ans all that mixture of colour is simply fabulous. I could totally wear this (if my thighs weren't as they are, ha) This one is just so wearable... I love the skirt'

Visitas accidentadas...

SEEING My boss, pretty emotional after seeing what a farewell party we had organized for him. It was pretty touching. This awesome Burberry look-alike trench from Zara with those crazy puff sleeves, on sales and my size. I don’t have to say it took me about 5 seconds to decide whether I was taking it home or not.   This crazy way of outdoors FIAT advertising near el Callejón de Jorge Juan. I found it cute, lovely and brilliant, since it didn't disturb the overall look of the street, which is pretty classic. A wonderful sunrise on my way to the airport on Friday. LISTENING Lady Gaga’s “You and I” acoustic version. Lovely, and intimate, and awesome. The rain pour strongly against the taxi’s window on my way home from the airport. It just went with my mood, and I thought it deeply relaxing. TOUCHING/FEELING Exhausted after my trip on Friday. Specially after the hour delay of the plane… my eyes just felt like they were going to pop out dry out of my sockets. SMELLING Fide

Harry Potter. The End.

Finally. I have to admit I've been dreading and looking forward this piece of news forever. At last, the theatrical trailer for the movie I am dying to see. First part in any case, since the second part doesn’t premier until next year (ugh!!!!). Harry Potter has been a big part of my life for over 10 years. It's gotten me to read for hours, to have fun for hours, getting me in contact with my inner child... I simply adore the characters and the stories (sans the end, that is... ughhh!), and to see it all end, well this is melancholy on a high level. And sadness... and a sense of definitive end that scares me a litlle, since for the last 10 years, there was always something related to look forward to. Goosebumps, tears and all that will be implied, I'm sure.  Hopefully this will be the best movie in the series, and looking at the trailer it certainly looks like it’s going to be just that. At least lets just hope they don't get to mess up with this movie like they did
