5 Senses Monday XXXV

I know... it's a short one. But considering I have been working from 7am to more than 7pm each day, I guess you'll just have to deal with me this week this way. I'm in Seville, by the way... not enjoying my time like I should but visiting some more clients. It'll be Cordoba tomorrow. I intend on drinking some rebujito today and forget everything about the week, since apparently it has gone well in our first meeting. So here we go now! SMELLING A touch of Égoiste platinum in a crowded airport. For once it doesn’t make me think of YOU strictly, but of how much I had always wished to bite that lower lip of yours after a kiss. SEEING The clock tick, the hours pass. It has been a 12’5 hr/day work week, and by Thursday, I wasn’t sure I could take it anymore. HEARING My MBA’s Directress introduction speech for our course about to begin. She looked so anxious, and I think I speak for every single one of us when I say we could feel the nervousness in the air, the perception

F*uck me, I'm famous!!!

Imagen
Well well, well... Aren't I glamourous and fashionable today! without even knowing it I've gone from zero to famous in the blink of an eye... First, a picture of me was featured on a spread in Yo Dona , a magazine that comes with the El Mundo newspaper every saturday. It's not that the issue was precisely on fashion (but on how cool is to work for companies that pay you in more than cash), but hey! I look the cutest on my little Mango dress and clogs . Right? Image courtesy of Yo Dona And then this afternoon, by sheer luck and serendipity, I end up in one of the pictures for the Serrano Madrid official pictures of the street re-launching event that took place today. Isn't it awesome? I have to admit you can't really see me all that well, but, then again... it's cool. See the red block on the left of the pink elephant? a teeny tiny person on a striped jacket and a red handbag? well, that's me Images courtesy of Serrano Madrid. I have to admit it was a

Aeroplane mosquitoes and other flights

I barely slept 2 hours yesterday… 2. I guess it was because of the fact that I didn’t want to oversleep for my trip to Alicante. All things considered, I have to admit I was pushing it a little bit by getting up only 20 min before my taxi arrived… Then again, there was also that AWFUL noise. There I was, on the brink of falling totally asleep (you know that time when your body is just about to disconnect?) when suddenly… Zuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ZUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuummmmmmmmmm Shit! I must confess I thought it was an airplane mosquito or something, by the noise it was making. Suddenly I was fully awake, trying to identify the source of the noise so as to present a full attack. I turned on the light, did a surveillance look around and found the bastard lying peacefully on my nightstand. It was huge! So I did what a girl has to do in this circumstances: grab a book and… WHAM!!! Be done with it, and back to sleep.  And just when I was again at the brink of sleep…. Zuuuuuuuuummmmmm

5 senses Monday XXXIV Barcelona, Barcelona...

Imagen
SEEING The titles of the True Blood books in Spanish. Pathetic... and grusome. How come we are so good when translating films and SO BAD when titles are considered? Keeps me wondering... "Todos juntos y muertos" aka "Alltogether dead"? honestly... An e-mail, at last, from my MBA with the confirmation that classes start on the 24th, and the programme for the first weekend... can't wait! A bar at Barcelona called "Piscolabis" a word I usually use and that has some of my friends laughing their heads off... whatever! The reception of the hotel, full of papers in Chinese with different indications of what to do in Barcelona, tourism like. Totally awesome and funny! (specially the illustrations, which were just hilarious...) HEARING By brownberry (ups, sorry, blackberry) beeping non stop during my trip to Barcelona. Sorry people, but being in a car, or in a supermarket doesn't really help attending matters... all in all, it's a good

Today I'm wearing... Soy Cibelina!

Imagen
Hubiera "robado" fotos

Can't wait!

Just LOVE him...can't wait for the new season... and in Paris, no less!!

Madrid's Vogue Fashion Night Out

Imagen
Yesterday was one of those nights I've been waiting like mad: Fashion Night Out ! Even though Marta wasn't here this year (I promise I missed you, girl), I managed to find myself with a very entertaining and fun group of girls... K's girls. We laughed SO much. We drank SO many mojitos... it was an awesome night. We met at 8pm at one of my favourite shops (since I arrived a wee bit later, I helped myself to one of the goody bags they were selling in favour of Aldeas Infantiles), Yube (and Benny Room too, her twin store) in Las Salesas area willing to have a taste of their masqueradeparty and feed up with the gorgeous ambiance this area always has. We weren't deceived. As always, it was an awesome choice, and it wasn't until 2 hours later (and 6 mojitos later too, I may add) that we  resumed our way in the chance to take a look at Serrano and Ortega y Gasset. Since this year I managed to get myself not only one, but thre

My handbag has arrived!

Imagen
After an express early morning shopping the other day (the very same day they launched tjeir online shop) my Zara handbag has arrived! I can't help but love it! I can't begin to tell you how easy it was... you buy on-line, they send it where you asked, and you get both e-mails ans sms to confirm you that i has at last, arrived. Isn't it cool? And now... I'm afraid I'll leave you all since I'm going... To MADRID'S FASHION NIGHT OUT !!

5 Senses Monday XXXI Late 20's and a bit of Kobe

Imagen
My 27th birthday was on Saturday and I can’t help but say it wasn’t what I expected. It’s getting extremely difficult to manage everybody to assist to any kind of celebration and, on the other hand, I must confess my heart is not really in it anyway. Work is being hell lately and it doesn’t seem to be on the way of getting better anytime soon. Anyway…. Here I go. TOUCHING My new fur à la ruse hat from Uterqüe. Love at first sight. I’m just wishing for snow and cold weather now… TASTING Kobe meat at t.a.r.t.a.n for my birthday dinner. Or should I say the whole menu? Everything was delicious! And that special “two temperature chocolate dessert with peta zetas”? OMG. Simple gorgeous, spectacular… mmmmm SEEING A working tv at my room again. The old one dated from 10 years ago when I had my 1st communion, and after the analogical blackout form last year, I couldn’t see a thing on it. So, considering it can read DVDs and USB keys… you may understand my enthusiasm. An invitation to the
