Oh my Chucking God!!!

Imagen
I just have to comment it (even though I had to watch the episode nearly a week late - one get’s busy once in a while-): Seeing Chuck act a little gay in Gossip’s “ Enough about Eve” epi was just beyond awesome . I suppose I could say it got me a little hot and bothered, even. I mean… he looked smashing advancing through the bar approaching his “victim”, and even better when he was playing difficult to kiss. I love the fact that he has become such a good boyfriend without losing his personal self. That thing he said about Blair’s dream was hilarious and cute, but then we have those details that make him so Chuck. Talk about character evolution. So yeah, as they said in the podcast , “enough about everyone but Chuck” . He would definitely be #1 on my Scavengers List (and #2, and #3 and… on and on. Mr Chuck… I demand satisfaction!!!!) Oh, and Blair? you’re totally screwing up. Seriously…
He had THAT look in his eyes; that smile… if we hadn’t been surrounded by people, I would have probably kissed him. Hard. I bet he wouldn’t have minded, at all…

Speech

Had to give a speech today for the fellow insiders. No one from the Club was really available (or willing, if they were), so I had to give the speech about our Club. Something really basic, “please, enroll” kind of thing. No biggie. Not that I was bothered, or anything. I kind of love these things. I had been planning to find some time during the week to write something, but I ended up talking with no prep. Surprisingly enough, everybody loved it (a couple of over enthusiastic mothers even told me the speech sounded very natural… if they only knew it actually was). The strange thing about the whole afternoon, though, was the fact that one of the teachers that usually participates in the Programs (and who went to China with me) had this HUGE obsession about the fact that I’ve had plastic surgery. HONESTLY!!! I don’t know how many times did I have to tell her it was just the fringe and the fact that I have lost about 12 Kilos since the last time she’d seen me… she even asked for confirma

Nespresso & Shopping, what else?

Went on a trip to Nespresso today. Since I came to work half an hour before my usual time (thanks to lovely last minute requests), that gave me the perfect excuse to go equally early… and the opportunity to get there before super-busy time, so as to be able to make the questions I needed. See… I love shopping at Nespresso. The ambiance, the attitude, the look… I love everything about the sop because it gives you a 360º coffee experience. The fact that they treat you like you’re worth a million does help too. This time, apart from the usual classics (Roma & Ristretto for Dad, Capriccio for me), and my recently acquired and special autumn edition caprice (Singatoba… way delicious), I had to look for a couple other things: Substitution for the craves to come when Singatoba is no longer available, given that it is a limited edition an all (don’t know what I’m gonna do without it’s lovely intense blue capsules..) A similar yet longer version of Capriccio, lungo blend. Ended up with the

Curiosidades extranjeras...

Bueno, bueno, bueno… pues héme aquí, one more day, working in my little table (with growing stack of paper on the sides, I dare say)…

Unexpected

I exit the tube, swearing because of the heat, and find the terrible landscape that Colón Square has become. Everything is full of dust and noise due to the constant building which is taking place in a huge part of the city. I long for the Madrid we've lost, only for a while more - or so we all hope -. It's then that I suddenly discover a wonderful smell. A smell of spring, of rich flowers, of colours. I turn around, desperate to find it's source, and there it is: the flower kiosk. Surrounded by dust, by uncompleteness, by white and grey and noise, it stands proud, little and colourful. I can't hel but stare, and smile... so unexpected.

Happy Birthday Indi

Indi is my french bulldog... a Christmas present last year for my brother, he has ever since conquered our hearts... Even at the risk of sounding cheesy. Ok... since it's better an image than a million words, I'll leave you here some pictures to celebrate his 1st birthday! This was the picture that got us to buy him... He was so small, he used to fit in my hands. His favourite siesta place: on my legs... (keeps being like that nowadays) He's got the cuttest face... And even my grandma, who doesn't like dogs, fell in love with him and knitted him a jumper Here he is with Coffee, his best friend Looking dandy on his Aberdoggie & Fitch Sweatshirt and his raining coat Having fun in Marbella... And sunbathing too... But THIS, has to be my favourite picture: Isn't he cute?

Doubting...

In weeks like this, when I feel exhausted and work doesn't seem as satisfying as yesterday, I wonder if I would be better gone and looking for fortune in that not-so-little-anymore hobby of mine: Fashion. I will rise above this. Rather sooner than later.
