Inspiring Carré

Imagen
This picture just inspires me. It makes me dream... Dream of colourful days, and late afternoons by the sea. Of long walks along Madrid, when the sun is about to leave, and there’s just this perfect spring temperature. Of fruits, of siestas in the green beside a pool, covered by the trees shadows. I just LOVE this picture… love the colours, the textures, the peace it communicates. I love the way the carrés don’t make any sense of order, but look perfect altogether… And I love the braid… and I’m thinking of trying this look myself (only with a different handkerchief, of course… until I get myself a real Hermès one) Carrés are so cool… I think I’ll dedicate them a post another day. In the meantime... I'll leave you with this video, which kind of resumes my feeling about the picture, as well as showing how vool this things can be... and versatile! Seeing My cousin from Zaragoza, plus his fiancée, who I didn’t know, during the dinner I organized with part of the rest of my cousins. We had so much fun, and it was so refreshing… a nice change of plans for a Friday night. Hearing Those very nice conferences in the Museo del Traje, about Fashion Bloggers. Quite interesting, and with some very valuable learnings Smelling A girl in vanilla perfum… my God, I HATE it. So very very very sweet, it really makes me nauseus Touching/Feeling Absolutely exhausted don Friday, after leaving my house at 7:15AM to not return until 3AM in the morning, with quite and stressing working day, and three conferences immediately after which would have been 4 if it wasn’t for the fact I had a dinner to attend (it’s not very nice if the organizer doesn’t turn up) Tasting Mums paella… it has been so long since she last cooked it And a wonderful plate of Guacamole too, from the dinner she prepared for Saturday night for my causin, who came to give out his

[photos_private]

I have to admit, Carine Roitfeld Gives me the chills

Imagen
I might admire her work (and envy it, deeply, madly), but to be perfectly honest… I really don’t like her THAT much. I think she’s too slim, too aggressive, too… TOO MUCH. I think she could manage to wash her hair once in a while… I mean, come on! Has anyone seen her? I won’t deny she’s stylish (she even styles most of the photo shoots for her magazine, which I have to say are modern, artsy, aggressive and just gorgeous), or that she wears wonderful clothes (and shoes! My god!) I won’t discuss what an amazing job she does on Vogue Paris (or Vogue France, as it should be known… something that tells you a lot of the personality of both the magazine and its editor in chief), but I think she doesn’t have… a very clean image. Starting with her hair, which is always kind of all over her face and it’s so very straight it looks artificial, following by the fact that she wears a deep kohl shade around her eyes, I think she looks like she’s having kind of a perpetual hangover. Many say her style

Seeing Glee... AGAIN. It has returned!!! YEAH!!! White tulips under the Cibeles Fountain... so wonderful Touching/Feeling The padel racket again. Was it really 8 years ago that I stopped playing? it really FEELS like it for the way I felt like dying after a few runs. Then again, I felt absolutely fantastic after our first class (So much fun!)& Tremendously sore the day after... ha. Exhausted after my tuesday out. Hearing The alarm off at 4:30AM Tuesday morning. All I could think about was "This HAS to be a joke, I haven't slept THAT much!" Stories told by my nephews (6 and 8), specially learning the new everything about the impresionists and Van Gogh... aren't children just amazing? Tasting Chinese food with my nephews... it kind of tasted different. Tears of sadness in the brink of my tongue, threatening to scape by just imagining what my cousins are suffering after the weekend's event. Smelling After a huge storm, and a looks-like-it's-never-going-to-sta

Life: Sometimes Unfair. Sometimes Tough

Most of the times life is joyful, nice, happy. Or at least bearable. And sometimes life is tough, difficult, sad, and very, very, very unfair. My nephew, age 1 year and a half, died on Saturday. Daughter of one of my second degree cousins, she was born with some cardiac problems that she had been strongly overcoming ever since. Later on Thursday, she arrived at the hospital with an infection that had nothing to do with her disease. And infection that turned out to be meningitis. On Friday, she went into a coma, one she wouldn’t wake up from. I don’t think there’s anything more tough, or sadder, than having to let go you little child because there’s no other solution. No other answer. Something more difficult than having to let her go, because it’s the best. I am deeply shocked, and extremely sorry for my cousins, who have been in a rough patch for a while now. A couple of lovely, caring, good people, that have already suffered enough. I simply don’t get it why so many bad things have h

This week is proving to be a very profitable one... lots of things have been comming from my multiple on-line shopping (which has to stop about NOW), and with which I'm so exited: First, my Moisés De La Renta (aka Mr. Oscar de la Renta's son) T-Shirt from Mango Online shop. SO TERRIFIC! it's black bleached with so many stones and things going on on the top... a real jewel t-shirt, I must say, as you can see in the picture. I just love it... and you can't find it (at least by now) in any store! believe me, I checked... which is also a plus factor too. The thing is, the other day, on my way to a wonderful and fun coffee and just before my Amazone spree, when I discovered the T-Shirt collection on a nearby Mango store, I bought another of the T-shirts. The more awesome one, I thought, of the ones displayed (I hadn't seen the other one online yet), which I bought. White and with a painted cord embelished with dark stones, I thought it was quite cute. Now I am won

Seeing The 4 towers iluminated another crazy night. I think I prefer them by day, when the lights don't mess up their simetry and they shine with the sun. The latest episode of Gossip Girl, "Inglorious Bassterds". Best yet... too much mushiness was boring me intensly. Welcome back drama, tense situations, Eric, and... DOROTA!!! I can't help buth laugh out loud when remembering her with the fake gun. Touching/Feeling My new handbag... the glorious, ever classic (happy anniversary!) Amazona from Loewe. I nearly exploded of happiness when leaving the shop at Gran Vía (the forst one, by the way, which seemed almost too perfect for the shopping in process) Hearing " You! me! dancing! " from Los Campesinos. So full of energy it makes me want to jump in the street. The fact that my Big Boss thinks about me... even though I don't really get to speak to him much, besides in social events. Does that make any sense? Tasting A wonderful chocolate fondant in Wagaboo.

I've been meaning to post this for a while, to show you what a wonderful mix of colour my stay in Marbella was. It seems the right thing to post on this wonderful sunny day in Madrid [photos_private]

Today I'm wearing...Romantic Navy Rock meets Chinese

Imagen
I had a little get-together with my Xinitos. I don't know why, but whe really seem unable to meet altogether other than once a year. There're exceptions, as everywhere else, and I get to see some of my closest people from the crowd more often, but otherwise, we are incapable or anything different. So anyway... we met in a semi-chinese restaurant (more like a Oriental meets moder Occidental kind of thing), we caught up, and we had fun. So, since there are some pretty different styles in the group, I decided to go for a twist and mix upa little bit, resulting in something resembling Romantic Navi Rock. If that even exists... it would be something resembling the outfit portraited. Romantic for the skirt, navy for the T-shirt and headband, and rock for the sandals and handbag. So, what do you think? Sandals: Blanco Skirt: Charro T-shirt: Breshka Headband: Little Fille [photos_private] .

I'm SO looking forward this...

Tará, tará... Inner debate NO MORE. After a very quick discussion with myself, and after all your tweets too, I bought the handbag. It's SO AWESOME, I plan to wear it on the coffin with me once I'm dead. Seriously. It's great... and I feel so happy because I bought it. I can't believe I have my very own Amazona... and in the anniversary year no less. Cheers for me. Because A is for Awesome, Admiration, A is for more than desired and deserved Adquisition. A is for Addiction, Amor, and Action. A is for Agnes. A is for Amazona. [photos_private]

So... today was one of those GOOD days... in many ways than one, it seemed as though the planets had decided to align for me, and give me a glorious day. First was the weather. Did you see what a wonderful day we had in Madrid?? the sun, the temperature... and I was able to enjoy it pretty much with a long walk from Moncloa, through my university and the streets on it's back that I've missed so much, and along the Gran Vía, a fantastic street in Madrid that's 100 years this very week. Thanks to P. for getting me to Moncloa so quickly from the office. I wouldn't have had the opportunity of such a nice walk without it. Then was the fun... everybody seemed to be in good spirits today. I had fun in the meeting at work, I had fun with my colleagues all day long... it was fantastic. And it gives me SO much energy! Colleagues at work say my spirits come from having AB choco for breakfast everyday (that works within the night for you to feel better in the mornings), but that

I don't know what has been going on, but lately, ever since we came back from Easter Week, everybody seems a bit down at work. It really makes me sad, cause you're supposed to come back full of energy and happiness... at least that is my case. In any case... thank God today people decided to lift up their spirits. We even shared some laughs! I share the opinion that, always being a serious person when working, you don't necessarily have to be a serious and boring person. So cheers for my department!!! To share the spirit, a wee bit of colour on an otherwise sober outfit: a pink dotted flower that matched my blouse berfectly. A kind of dandy look. Blouse: Zara 2005 Flower: Blanco Shorts: H&M Indian boots: Benny Room [photos_private] .

Inner debate

"It's really hard to walk in a single woman's shoes, that's why you sometimes need really special shoes! ” I have to totally agree with the sentence above, though, but I would gladly add a little something to it: “ and a very special handbag too ”. Otherwise, how would you carry on with your daily troubles in glamour? PRECISELY. This quote from Carrie Bradshaw on my ever favorite Sex and the City show (I miss you!!!), would be perfectly applied for my dear friend Sad Eyes, whose obsession to this cute accessories is way beyond my reach… But we’re not talking about her today. You see… before Christmas, I had a plan. I was going to buy with my bonus a wonderful Loewe handbag from the Heritage collection, a shoulder bag that was supposed to be black or chocolate brown that I could use on a daily basis, and that would resist… it was cheap, too (quality/brand/price relation considered), and it was the perfect way of having a classic but modern bag, from a quality manufa

Sometimes I think I just live to publish 5 senses Mondays... but anyway, as life goes on, I'll sure return to publishing more often... inspiration is just not hitting right now. Seeing A sunset by the sea. Always peaceful. Always diferent. But always wonderful. The complete set of star in the night's sky. One of the advantages of a lack of civilization lights. Smelling Vanilla perfume. I hate it! so sweet, it's awful. If you love me... don't use it!! Green grass first, Olive oil a while after... sometimes, the road has this wonderful moments of smelleing sensations. Tasting Tsun Zao beer after... has it been two years ago already? sure time runs fast. It brought me back such wondeful memories, right @alosanz? those sweet nights in China, surrounded my wonderful Xinitos. As I've said before, the best trip of my life. Touching/Feeling Feeling a bit let down after going to Loewe to pick up the handbag I had reserved: a wonderful Heritage hanging bag... SO SMALL!!! I th
