Being right...

... is not always as satisfying as one could think.

Sometimes you just know you're right, but you keep wishing you weren't. Why? because sometimes you wish you were just wrong so as not to be disappointed. That's the thing about expectations, specially if those concern people you know, friends: you keep wishing for a slip, for something to prove you wrong that, at the end, never occurs. Hence the disappointment. And the bittersweet sensation lingering at the back of your throat. And that damn teeny tiny little voice in your brain that keeps telling you: "You knew it, yet you expected otherwise. Don't say you didn't see it coming".

Surprised, then, by the outcome of events concerning her?
Not really.

Disappointed?
Most definitely.

What now, then?
I'll just keep wishing I'll be wrong.
