SEEING

All my family together, to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. It was nice, in great company, it was great.

A toda mi familia junta, celebrando el cumpleaños de mi padre. Fue un día agradable, en buena compañía… genial.

TASTING

Even though it ended up not agree with me, the coffee, cookies and butter cake for Dad’s birthday was delicious.

Aunque al final acabó por no sentarme demasiado bien, la tarta de galleta y café que hicimos para el cumpleaños de Papá estaba deliciosa.

SMELLING

There's this little piece of field next to where I work, that the other day, after the rain, smelled utterly divine.

Al lado de donde trabajo hay un micro trocito de campo que olía divinamente el otro día después de la lluvia.

TOUCHING/FEELING

Very sad the other day when I lost the Stone of my ring, depressed because I couldn’t find it after a while searching (with the help of all my nieces and nephew), surprised when I found it later when I wasn’t looking for it, and bewildered that it was in the middle of the street and yet, I was able to see it.

Entristecida ante la pérdida de la piedra de mi sortija, deprimida al no encontrarla a pesar de la exhaustiva búsqueda que hicimos mis sobrinos y yo, sorprendida al encontrarla horas después cuando ya la dábamos por perdida, y flipada de que fuera en mitad de la calle.

LISTENING

The other night’s Jamie Cullum concert was simply awesome… we had so much fun! Even though he didn’t throw himself from a piano lat he used to do, that didn’t mean he didn’t give a 150% of himself. He danced, he played, he jumped… and made all of us dance and jump with him. Probably the most emotive part of the convert was when, as a bis, he played Gran Torino followed by one of his newest song while the audience was in complete silence. It was such an intimate moment, that Cullum raised from the piano in tears, thanking us for being such a wonderful audience. Well, let me tell you… HE is the one to be thanked for. There’s not every day that you are able to enjoy a show so much, and to see your idols enjoying as much as you do a concert. You can see the video at the end of the post.

El concierto de Jamie Cullum de la otra noche fue simplemente increíble. Aunque no se tirara del piano (como le he visto a hacer en varios conciertos), no por ello dejó de dar de sí el 150% cantando, tocando, brincando y haciéndonos acompañarle en momentos de pura energía y complicidad propiciados por su entrega absoluta. Quizás el momento más emotivo fue cuando, ya como bis después de más de 2 horas de concierto, Jamie se sentó solo al piano y tocó Gran Torino seguida de otra de sus nuevas canciones, minutos durante los cuales en la audiencia permanecimos en total y absoluto silencio. Tal fue la intimidad del momento, el sentimiento compartido, que Jamie se levantó del piano emocionado, agradeciéndonos el ser una gran audiencia. El mérito es suyo, en mi opinión. Es uno de los pocos artistas capaces de comulgar con el público y vibrar con él. De disfrutar tanto con su trabajo que el sentimiento se comparte… tanto, que incluso personas que no lo conocen en absoluto (y a una la había llevado yo conmigo), vibran tanto o más que los fans durante el show, flipando con el espectáculo.
